Hello Everyone

I have another question for everyone. I currently use Prime to do water changes, but some ppl here also mention Safe. I did an internet search on Safe but could not find anything. Is there another name for it or do they mean Tetra Aquasafe?

Thanks

Don't fix it if it ain't broken. Prime works great

Safe is just the dry, concentrated version of Prime. It's made by Seachem (http://www.seachem.com/Products/product_pages/Safe.html) and is rather hard to find.

Hope that helps!

ChloramX is easier to find if you're looking to reduce the costs. Otherwise, just use Prime if it's working for you.

It is difficult to find safe but luckily for you, one of our sponsors is gathering a group buy for seachem Safe. I'm sure you can contact him which any questions. IGO PRO sponsor

Good point! Check with David to see if he's bringing in smaller sizes. I ordered two of the huge size just to head off the price increase that looms. That should last a while. :D

It would be nice if I can reduce the cost of water changes, because that will equal more fish :) So far I think I have spent enough for a small family vacation on my discus tank :(

Im as new as it can get on this forum. How do I talk to Dave or that sponser someone mentioned?

Thanks again for your help.....appreciate it very much.

Hey Chad have you noticed that we have some of the same stats? I just saw that we both joined in 08. We both have 5 feedbacks. Pretty much the same post counts and we are both from Cali :-). Sorry OP, I found that interesting

Specifically this post. (http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showthread.php?t=77944)

You can PM David Rose. He's the forum sponsor that we are speaking of.

If you are using Prime, switch to SAFE. It is a powdered form of Prime and the 1 kilo container ($30), will treat 200,000 gallons of water. Guess some people like to throw money out the window but trust me, I've already saved over 100 dollars in just 2 months of using Safe. I haven't even put a dent in the container and I foresee saving another 200-300 dollars by the time I need to order another 1 kilo container. ;)

Yeah....I think that'll cover over a million and a half gallons if my math is correct. Should last you while unless you are treating the Pacific Ocean! :D
