Cotton fungus

:confused:My 10 gal tank has developed a white cottoning fungus on the subtrate and on the rocks. What medication may i use to control it and how can i prevent this from happening again?:confused:

No meds. It sounds like something is rotting. What do you have in the 10 gallon? How often do you do a wc and syphon the bottom?
