Hey anyone ever try to use a Co2 diffuser but with an air pump? Looking for a way to diffuse O2 in the water without breaking water column...

If you have enough plants, lighting, etc... the plants will provide more than enough oxygen to cover the needs of the fish and the plants at night (when they respire).

I am pretty sure that the volume of air put out by an air pump is a lot more than a co2 diffuser can handle. It might depend on the type of diffuser of course. Are you not wanting to break the water surface because you don't want to lose co2? If that is the case, just run the air with a regular air stone during the night while your co2 doesn't need to be on anyways.
