Whats wrong with my discus?

My turq discus has missing scales on the both sides of his body and head. It started just on his head and got progressively worse. He acts normal, eats well, but is always a little darker in color then he used to be.

I do 50% weekly water changes, ph is 6.8, temp is 82-83 F, 55 gallon tank

I have 1 other discus in here half his size and he looks normal.

What is wrong with him?

It looks like a bacteria infection but that fish also looks like it may have internal issues also. First step, improve the environment/water. If you look through the disease threads, the thing that stands out most, is the amount of water people are changing and how often.
