Saddle nose deformity: nature or nurture?

Just curious what people thought. Is saddle nose a genetic defect that fish grow into, or is it a result of trauma, illness or malnutrition?

Both can be the reason. Not giving enough nutrition or falling sick in the young age can lead to this profile. Feeding more brine shrimp when they were young can help avoid this problem. Also, it is more commonly seen on some high body fish, even they are given good care, in this case it might be genetical.

I suspect it is primarily genetic.
