Corydoras & hexamita

IS metronidazole only effective if I raise the water temerature or can it be effective witout raising the temp?


I have corydoras sterbai. Can I treat them with metro? CAn they withstand a high temperature or at what temperature should I treat them?

I have some angelfish that I need to treat for hexamita (I thing it is hex because they are showing translucent feces) and the corydoras are in the same tank.

I heard that in order to treat for hexamita, I have to raise the temp up to 95 degrees! I know the angelfish can withstand such high temperatures but I don't have a clue about the corydoras:confused:

Raising the temperature is not a requirement when treating with metro.

I have kept my sterbai's in 90 deg before without a problem.
