What type of Gill disease is this

Here are the symptoms: 1 gill swollen, 2 white spots on same gill,faded color, harder breathing.

I QT'd in a 10g- temp 80, 2 tb salt, 1 Clout tablet.

Am I going down the right path here treating it as a bacterial infection:confused:

It could be both parasite/bacteria with bacteria being a secondary issue. Have you tried a salt dip? Returning the fish to a fresh/clean quarantine tank.

I read the salt dip instructions on the main page and I will be trying it today. By the way, yesterday I noticed that the gill is very red inside, don't know if that indicates a parasite, but if it is, the dip should help.
