it's a 120 gal. light is 54watt x 2 plus 144 white led's down the center. I run the led's for 11 hrs. and 1 54 w for 6hrs for the floating plants. I waiting on some frogbit to cover the surface.

Great tank that looks very cool. I love the wood and the way you have placed it.

Unless life also hands you sugar and water then your lemonade is going to be awful.

thanks all. the tank looks a bit different now. tannins are gone and I took most of the cypress out. replacing it with more manzanita. here it an updated pic but I'm soaking more wood so I'll have to update again. loved the tannin look but I wont use any additives to get that color back.

One of the most beautiful discus tanks I have ever seen  Thanks for the update.

You said you wanted to change the black background, but it looks great. Will you keep it as it is?

Cool tank I would also like to have frogbit and more manzanita in my tank, I'm too lazy to move things around everyday to clean it. How often do you clean your tank?

3dees

I do a 70% wc every 4 or 5 days and vacuum then. I have added 12 cories so there is no left over food to worry about.

Awesome tank! The cory cats will be fun to watch. I like the black background - it really focuses attention on the aquascape and fish.

Absolutely georgous, you mentioned earlier about cleaning your wood. Have you had problems with, either algae or fungus growth ( grey fuzzy stuff) on your manzanita wood!! I've been noticing it lately on mine and would love some advise!! Should ibe concerned?

I have low lighting so not much of an algae problem. I get a little on the branches closest to the light but I just use a brush on them with my wc. I remove and scrub all the wood about every six months. the white fungus is normal for new wood and is harmless. it will disappear soon. BN pleco's will eat it.
