Didn't think I would make it some days I felt like selling them and getting a pet rock. But I stuck it out and changed water daily, made my own food and basically coddled them like they were my children.

This is a short video of them.

Dory, the one striking a pose in the middle of the video, is still small but Eddie you called that one. She is about 4 inches TL, has put on a lot of weight, eats well and has good color. Considering what she looked like five months ago (fish on the left)

I am happy with the way she has grown.

I am officially addicted. I am wondering where I can put my next tank.

Congrats on making it to six months. The tank and fish look wonderful. I really like the plants and driftwood.

Good luck

Congratulations! The first 6 months can be the hardest. Now that you've got the hang of things it's time for more tanks.

I am totally here man, almost two months into it myself, its killing me! A pet rock would be nice... I would most likely not get juvies again, but then again I cant wait to start breeding! So I know I am in the same place with it... I have been eying this 120gal long at petco, spoke to my wife about it already... little does she know that I plan to keep the 55gal going :D :D :D , switch to BB and start breeding with it! At least this tank would be upstairs so I could finally get a python system for WCs! That video is great, and the fish look good!

Congrats...the first 6 months IMO can be the most difficult, but with the wealth of information on SD and great folks to lend a hand going forward will be a breeze. You worked hard to get things on track and deserve to sit back and enjoy these beautiful fish...add a few to your collection, a new tank maybe, take lots of pictures. It amazes me to look back through the pics I've taken to see the progress.

All the best,
David

CONGRATS on your 6 month Anniversary...from another 6 monther!! :D Well, just over 6 months, but I only realised now when I saw your post!

Yeah, I know those daily water changes can be quite a task, but it's all a labor of love, right? ;)

Anyway, your discus look great in your video...keep it up! :)
