Hey everyone.

I have a show tank that has been in the works for some time now. There are no fish just sand, plants, wood, snails and shrimp. And this little worm that I saw swimming around today.

He is white/light red in appearence and is less than half inch long.

I took a pic of him under the scope with the hopes that someone can identify what it is.

I have done all sorts of research online but I cant seem to find anything that looks like this.

Im sure its nothing threatening but Im curious.

I'm pretty sure that is a planarian.

It might be, this one is weird though because it swims around the tank and is alot thinner than most planaria I have seen.

Its not planaaria, but some oligochaete worm probably Stylaria, totally harmless.

when they are swimming in the tank do they look like oversized vineegar eels, cause i have a tank with a bunch of them in there.

I guess it looks a bit like a vinegar eel in the tank but when I put it under the microscope it is easy to tell that it is not a round worm.
