Pleco eats all the BF and FBW

I thought Plecos were herbivores? Mine ever since he recovered has had quite the taste for BH and FBW. He wont touch his hikari algae wafers. It is causing an issue, My red turk has been picking away at the pleco when he eats "his" food and has left a white mark on him. This ever happen to anyone?

There are literally hundreds of different types of plecos and depending on what kind you have, it may eat meat (Hypancistrus, Pseudacanthicus, etc.), or wood (Panaques), vegetable matter and algae (Ancistrus), or everything from meat to veggies (Pekoltia, Barycancistrus, common plecos, etc.). Even the more herbivorous species will want some protein once in a while.
