No C02, gravel, low lighting (less than 1w/gallon). I only have anubias and would like different ones. And what is a good website to order from? Can you please give full names and not abbreviations cuz i'm not an expert in plants. THanks!

I prefer to buy from hobbyist on plantedtank.net. There are good deals on the shop and swap there. You can try ferns and mosses.

Here is the link to the new tropica website,, The section with easy plants.. (http://www.tropica.com/plants/difficulty/easy.aspx)

For myself I found java ferns and mosses tricky to start as they grow so slow. Mosses where ok but as much as I can grow really hard plants Java fern still alludes me LOL.

Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' known as Sunet hygro will do well for most anyone..

Hygrophila corymbosa 'Angustifolia' I do not know its common name but I have tons and it looks bamboo ish So I like it for near back or to sorta fill areas without making it so fish cant get around.

Echinodorus osiris Or sword plant ( and thing with Echinodorus in it ) is a sword plant and should be easy...

Bacopa's will be nice too, different shape good beginner plant..

Do you have soft or hard tap water? I have some more that would love you if you had really soft water... Stellatus P and the broadleaf actually do great in virtually nill for TDS strangely they get grumpy when you try to "care" for them in my experience...

anubias is really simple as well, anything in that family will basically grow no matter what

Just how low lighting do you have? Size of the tank (including height)?

That will dictate which plants you can have.

You can try to keep some stem plants, but they will probably lose the bottom leaves, look rather ragged and thin in the middle, but the tops might be okay looking.

You can also get some floating plants like water sprite (make sure you get Ceratopteris thalictroides (http://www.tropica.com/plants/plantdescription.aspx?pid=005A) not the Hygrophila difformis (http://www.tropica.com/plants/plantdescription.aspx?pid=051)).

Hope that helps,

Walter
