When using a night lamp at night for a breeding pair, is it ok to place the night lamp just in front of the breeding tank? Or will the light so close bother the pair?

Depends on how bright it is. I keep mine a foot or so away and not shining directly on them.

I use a small night light attached to an extension cord. This hangs directly above the tank.

I don't think it's more essential. I assume you mean when the pair have fry?

Just get a couple of cheap led's, more than enough light for a night lite.

based on their poor eyesight angle.
i don't use night light for my non albinos during spawning and no problems, but albinos ??:)
