I was moving the camera around, taking pictures of some other stuff and then just started shooting fish lol. So not overly great, but a good taste of how they are doing. My computer broke so I was not able to run these through photoshop and get the high quality and my water mark on them...but like I said, just a taste.

White Butterflies...the male keeps taking steps backwards in breeding, now he is an egg eater...not even making passes lately. Sigh.

Your discus all look super healthy.

I really like the way your first pictures focus in on the fish but leave the background looking black.

Thanks for sharing

Brilliant pics, IMO, its not just the camera that makes the fish look good, a good looking fish can be taken with a camera phone and it will still look amazing, but you have both, which makes the pic look flawless :D

Thank you all.

I have another pair of Albino Blue Diamond Throwbacks in their own tank, they layed eggs last night, and the male made passes so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that they all don't turn white this time.

If these aren't overly great then I can hardly wait to see them when they are great! Very beautiful discus Matt! Good luck with some fry soon.

Thanks Barb. They just arn't as high quality as they could be if I used a different program to upload them thats all.

The majority of the eggs have turned white, still some that look good though. We are approaching the 24 hour mark so I should know for sure soon. Its a young male, and i'm very pleased to even see him making passes with only his 2nd spawn ever.

Just wanted to update a few of these.

This is the Carnation Turq as seen above. He is the peacock of the tank for sure. His colors are amazing and he loves to show them. Growing pretty large.

Here is another Carnation Turq, colors are really coming out on this one too.

Altum Flora. The big boy of the tank. Gentle giant really....for now.

I think this is a cobalt...LOL. The cobalts and Altum Floras look very similar and I have 2 of each in the tank. I can tell 1 AF and 1 Cobalt apart from the others at this point. Still a nice fish.

noob, post 14 the yellow with halo, what strain?

The second picture in 14? Behind the turq? Thats one of Kenny/Forrest Flamingos. The males generally won't get the full red color like females. Thats actually the same fish as the last pic in post 14.

They look fantastic Matt, great shots! Do you remember the name of your background color paint? I like that shade, it brings out the blues instead of washing them out.

Now would this be the same as super flamingos as far as color goes?

Now would this be the same as super flamingos as far as color goes?

No. I believe Super Flamingos are basically Pigeon blood or have more pigeon blood in them than anything else. The Flamingos (Red Melon x RGD), now have more RGD genes than anything else.

I think the Super Flamingos tend to be more red than the flamingos.

Thanks for clarifying. I purchased a sf and it is super red.

Thanks! That color is the "Blue Ocean Breeze" by Krylon from Walmart. http://www.krylon.com/products/indooroutdoor_paint/

It would be best to ask Kenny himself, as him and Forrest would have the exact answer. I couldn't tell you but from pictures of previews, the super flamingos will be more covered in red. Some of these in the latest shipment really had some nice red on the head and face.

Yes, I did get one and it certainly isn't lacking in red! If and I say BIG IF I ever do breed my fish, I thought the SF and my Carnation turk(avatar) would be a nice combo.

Hi Matt!

I'm new to the forum and I'm still trying to figure out if there is anyone here that sells discus. Your discuses are absolutely gorgeous! I'm in Charlotte and wanted to know if you have any of your fish for sale? Thanks so much!
