Filter gusetion

Hi All, I have a 120 with wet/dry pumps 700 gph w/just a simmer on top, I do 50% w/c every week. I have plants w/ sand bottom. I feed 3 time a day, But i see a lot of a stuff on the bottom. I thinking i need a canister filter to help clean my tank better My gusetion is what Filter is the best to use for this tank.

Hi Kareen

Unless you have a filtration system that drains from the bottom of your tank, you will always get a little bit of debris on the bottom.

You can angle you substrate or have a powerhead that is at gravel level, that would force the debris to one end for easy removal.

I have just set this up on my tank.

Of course you can always add another cannsiter filter.

People have varying opinions on which canister filter is best.

I have a 2180 Eheim Pro III. I have been mostly happy with it.

You may be adding mroe food than you need to. If you fish can not eat what you put in within 15 minutes, then you are putting in more than they most likely need.
