Hi All,I have 120 gal tank. Im in the market to buy a new canister filter. Im been looking at The Rena xp3 and the Eheim I like the idea of the baskets so i can put my own media in them The Eheim has so many Models out there. I just don't know what one would be the best for my tank hope you all can help. Thank you karen

2-3 mark V's and a magnum 350. Not a big fan of the proII series from ehiem......leak waiting to happen, based on personal expierance with both a 2026 and 2028.

Folks seem to like their Rena Filstars, but with a 120 and lots of Discus I'd go with an XP4. I just ordered an XP3 for my 55gal and future 75gal. It never hurts to go with a higher rated filter and you can control the flow with the XP's and they come with a spray bar.

I have a 120 gal. I run an ehiem 2128 and a xp3. both are very quiet. the only problem for me is the rena needs cleaning more frequently than the ehiem. I've been using ehiems for years and never had a problem with them.
