This is my discus pair. Still haven't been successful for their spawning, as pair has developed nasty habit of eating eggs.

Had dropped this pair in my planted tank once, both had pH burn on tail.

Wow, 8" and 9" pair. the biggest one i've seen in person is about 8.5" at the NADA show in Dallas, TX, can't imagine what this pair look like in person.

Tony

P.S. I visit Mumbai, for work, 2 times a year, maybe you will let me see the pair when I'm there?

Clean PB bases pair. Are you just guessing or have you taken them out of the tank and measured them? Ya know, sometimes they can be bigger/smaller than they really look. Anyways, I like the pair, especially the red one.

Nice pair, I especially like the lighter one. Reminds me of the original golden discus that NOBODY has any more. Beautiful fish!

Hi Tony,

I haven't actually measured them with scale yet, but should be closer to that for sure.
You are most welcomed here & see my lousy collection, haha.

Thanks Kevin. This PB comes from famous Mr.Govindrajan of Singapore.
I love its pepperless clean body. Planted tank had total black background but this chap never showed a single dot of pepper on its body in there. Nor does it get any kind of peppering in BB tank either.

pH in planted tank was bit higher due to substrate, so both of them had bit of a tail-burn in there.
It was all back to normal when the pair returned to its BB setup.

Thank you all for your kind comments.:)

For some reasons, the kink, or the so called 'parrot peak' make those chunky fish look amazing (it is my opinion). Both are very nice, did you grow them out from juveniles (excuse me if you stated it elsewhere) and got a pair out of the group?

I got a pair out of adult group. Wanted similar calibre Melon male, but those males were nowwhere closer worh for this female. So have selected this Giant Pigeon for the time-being. My search is still on for good Melon male for her.:)
