fry attched to sponge filter?

become free swimmers today-lowered the water level...turned down the air flow to sponge-i thought the fry were toast only to see them at the sponge filter. any ideas?

If the sponge filter is black, then it is because fry are attracted to dark colours.

pull out the sponge filter and go for water changes only until they are attached and feeding from mum and dad. DiscusKev is right the fry go toward anything black! rubber clips the top of your heater even the silicon you tank is held together with.

i shook the sponge filter and done a water change-and there attched to the parents...as is well for now.
