My Giant Gouramy pair

Hi Everyone, thought i would share a photo of my pair of GG. The female is 2ft and male just smaller. They are currently housed in a 9x3x2ft tank

Yes Casey i have seen one that was just under 3ft in a local aquarium shop but was an old fish though the grey male is only 2.5 years old

That's huge, may I ask, what is that white PVC pipe for. Overflow thing?

I am running two filtration systems - that one is a water return for an undergravel filter and on the other side i have a weir 4" PVC that feeds a 4 ft sump, the smaller short pipe on the rhs is the sump return

Can't say i'm a fan of giant gourami....but they are interesting to look at.

They are great and have fantastic personalities mine at least they dont touch my smaller fish in the tank even though they could swallow some in one go. But then again i have seen some really agro ones in fish shops
