Nice colors. I really like the fish in the first picture, just in front of the ALSS. Looks like a throwback or Albino Intermediate, really nice looking.

Thanks . I love having a full tank of discus. BUt I will be moving them to a 6 tank in a few days. So it won't be a s crowded.

Thanks. I love the silver aro\ discus combo they all get along well. I had the same combo over 10 ago and i didn't have a problem. The tank they are in right is a 4 ft x 2ftx2ft 120 gallon acrylic. They will be moving in to a 110 6 ft tank in a few weeks and in a couple of years . The will be getting a 300 to 400 gallon tank.
That is one crazy combination, colourful! Wild, domestic discus and arowana.

Ha ha . I must say you are completely wrong on that .The smallest discus i have in the tank wright now is 5" the largest is about 8" I have had a another aro that i grew up to 3ft long with 5, 4 " discus and he did eat a single one of them.

I have 22 discus in a 4ftx2ftx2ft 120 gallon tank. I have a rena xp4 and a eheim 2226 with an impeller from a eheim 2080. I have stuffed each filter with secheam matrix, eheim substrat and eheim Ehfimech. I change water every 2 days about 80% each time.
Yeah the turq it one of my favorites.

Here are some pictures of my wild caught discus. They are finally getting better and coming around after a few months of dealing with capillaria worms The got from fish bought from Discusdugger and the harsh meds i need to use to get rid of the worms. I have lost 1 wild blue during that time. So in my collection. I have a breeding pair of wild blues a lg heckel and 2 wild greens. This is only a temporary home until the new year where. I'll be getting them a new home. Enjoy.

what substrate are you using in the 170 gal. tank?

I'm using pool filter sand. I have a 100 lbs in there. I got a good deal on it. I think i paid $ 20 for all of it.

Hi Dave......your setup looks GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fantastic job and your fish look great......I love the big tank......and that heckel still stands out....when did you say you were sending it to me...lol....i can't remember the date...lol
