Do I need to leave the cone submerged in water when i moved the cone w/eggs on it? Or can I simply lift it from 1 tank and put it in another without ill effect?

Insert a contianer into the tank and fill with water. While still in the tank place the cone into the container then transport to the other tank. I don' think the eggs are supposed to ever be exposed to air.

I remove the slate/pvc and leave it out of water for a couple of mins without any problems,
as long as the eggs don't dry out.
