Thought I would show some pics of my 125G.
The discus (except the cobalt) are the fry I got from roundfishross last fall and were a little bigger then a quarter.

Thanks for the compliments. Hopefully it will start filling in like I want.

If I was going to get another tank I would get a 180g so there is more floor space for planting.

Thanks!
The list of fish/inverts:
exact number of cories is unknown as they hide in the plants most of the time. around 7
2 albino bristlenose plecos
1 otto (really need to find more)
4 discus raised from fry
~7 rummy nose
~40 cardinals
too many red cherry shrimp to count!

Fish being grown out for this tank:
4 L144 Blue Eyed Bristlenose long fins
2 (hopefully) discus from my pair. 1st spawn to actually make it to freeswimmers and parents took care of.

The cobalt in the 125 is from a cobalt and cobalt. He was my first attempt at raising discus fry. Got him from a guy in our local fish club.

The others are fry I got from roundfishross. The parents are red and blue snakes.

I tried the cherry shrimp, added 100 but they were just expensive discus food.

When this tank housed rainbows the cherry shrimp population was wiped out except the few I found and moved into another tank. I have since gotten rid of the rainbows. They stressed out the pair when they were in this tank.
I have now gotten the cherry shrimp population back up. The key is very good hiding spots for the babies to get big enough.

for give me for being naive but are the cherry shrimp breeding in your tank as a source of discus food??

Yep, I look at the cherry shrimp as another source of food for the discus! I have another tank running housing more cherry shrimp in case the population gets too low. Don't see that happening any time soon though.

Where did you get your cherry shrimp? Very hard for me top get them locally in New Jersey.

Very nice tank.
Are those frozen blood worms in the feeders? Do the discus have any trouble getting at them? I always assumed only live worms would work in them.

Okay, answered my own questions. Found an old worm feeder in the parts bin and put it to use.

I use the feeders for froozen blood worms and then the feeders that are upside down I feed the freeze dried black worms. Doesn't take long for the discus to figure out how to get them out.
