Some new juvies I purchased just havent been eating well. Very Picky. Began to face back of tank. Otherwise had good color and dark poop. I finally culled the weakest and made a couple slides of intestinal contents. I was guesssing some internal worms. Here is what I found intestines loaded with. Can anyone identify? Please recommend treatment if this is parasitic worm. Thanks.

The picture does look almost exactly the same. The picture is listed as a common plant parasite nematode. However, can I assume that I need to treat my other juvies for internal nematode infestation?

Not necessarily, only if the new ones were with any of your existing stock. I've always done periodic treatments for nematodes using de-worming flake. Once fish stop eating, its already gotten too bad as you are seeing now. Since the fish are not eating, you are gonna have to treat with Levamisole in the water.

Thanks Eddie. The fish do eat a very little. I bet they might take some blood worms or live food. The one I culled was very weak and was sure to die within a day or two. I wanted a fresh sample to prepare slides. I have looked around and not sure where to buy Levamisole. Do any sponsers sell this?
