Worm?

I don't think it is. When I pulled it out of the net to photograph it pulled apart really easy like a piece of reddish mucous. But....I want to be sure.

One of my chocolate cichlids passed this today. the first time since I owned the group (about 3 months now), that any of them passed anything like this. This fish is the runt of the group, so I can't tell if the eating instinct is diminished or it's just this one being meek at feeding time as it has been since purchase.

Hi Rich,
It looks more like intestinal lining to me, not a worm. Maybe feeding only frozen blood worms for a few days will clear it out.
If the fish stops eating and hanging in the corner I would treat with metro and increase the temp some.
