Making Discus Run FROM Austin to Dallas (9/10/10)

I will traveling FROM AUSTIN to Dallas/Metroplex to pick up some fry/juvies from TCT (Leopard Skin Skin) and yim11 (Brilliant Blue Turquoise).. they have other stuff, but you have to pm them for other stuff they have.. i just want the little guys..

I will leave THIS Friday around 1pm and come back to Austin that same day (ETA:9-10pm).. if anybody is interested, I can pick something up for you while I am there, and we can meet on the way back down I-35 Corridor on my way back to my house near the UT stadium…

PM me if you interested to work out some details, I just really like discus and want to help bring some of the Great Metroplex fish down to ATX!!
If you want to tip me with a couple of 1” FRY, I would not Refuse!! ; )

EDDIE. i am running extra sponge filters to move into new tanks.. i set up second last sunday.. and i will getting a 55 going sometime this weekend.. LOL

a fourth one needs to be resealed.. but petco has $1 per gallon tanks.. sooo maybe another 29 will be ok!! : ))

Checking in from Austin. Glad to see other people wanting to split orders, shipments, and dallas runs. I am new to discus and eager to get my first discus tank going. I'm really looking for an Austin area breeder so I can get some fry on the cheap and see how they do.

Hi Warlok, I live in Hutto, TX close to Austin, I just had my discus die to a stealth pro heater this week and now I'm trying to see how I can get my tank working again, do you know where I could get some good discus, if they're small is ok just looking for somewhere close by, since I'm starting my budget is limited. Thanks for your help.

Lenver, I just bought 2 blue diamonds form aquadome in Austin, but they did have pigeon blood and blue turqs. PM me for the price. Also river city aquatics has 20% off their entire livestock every first Friday of the month. So If you could I would go today, they're expecting a big shipment of discus in yesterday. And stay away from Aquatek, there fish are double priced compared to what I paid for at aquadome, but they did have some wilds that were worth it.............

Thanks for the info I have never been to the aquadome actually but I figured since the rest of the LFS in town are so expensive and not really good looking discus I gave up, I saw some nice one's at Aquatek but personally I think they're way too expensive, RCA is where I got 3 of my discus but I was disappointed since they were my first one's I just pick 3 without knowing what I should get and the personel was no help, it looked like I was bothering them really I'm not kidding I see a lot of good reviews but my personal experience was not good and I have gone 3 times there with the same results. Again this is not to dish on anyone just my personal experience. and RCA raised their prices.

But I am going to PM you for the price on those blue diamonds. OK BTW can anyone recommend a good heater for a 55 gallon.
