I have 11 large discus – around 6 ~7 in a 180G tank. Also in the tank I have cardinals, neons, rummy nose, cories, rams and plecos. I am seeing that the population of the tetras decreasing and of late I come to see that these are being hunted by my Discus. The lead band is my pigeon blood and 2 of my albino royal blues.

In the last 2 weeks, I have seen them go as a pack and hunt all that comes in their way. This happens for an hour or so where they will chase and kill atleast5-6 of tetras and eat them. They have also not spared by Cories, rams or apistos.

I just have a couple of tetras left now. Is this a common thing.

Do you feed your Discus enough lol lol

In most of the tanks with wilds we've a group of 30~60 Cardinals, they even eat all together from the beefheart mix, no problems here,

I've had them live together peacefully and I've had masacres. It's a crap shoot.
