Hi everyone!

I just ordered two 150w heaters to replace my one 250w in my 55g tank and now I am second guessing myself. Should I have done two 200w ones? If the consensus is to switch then I will try to cancel the order and re-order them in 200w. :o

Haha! It's just a joke! I have two dachshunds and I'm totally obsessed with the breed. :p

You should be fine, but it depends on the brand of heater you buying. i.e. Eheim Jagers...you're good; otherwise, not all heater are created equal and may not perform as well. Depends ambient temp of the room as well. Some of us have aquariums in four season rooms, so the heater will get more of a work out.

Personally, I would probably go with the 200W. Either way, be sure to have them placed well... where there is good circulation.

2-125w Jagers would be perfect for a 55g.

I agree, 2 each 150 watt jagers will be perfect.
