i have 2 tanks, 29 & 30.. (my metroplex fry, for non texas people, that means DALLAS) with 20 1" or less, a couple 1.25".. 82 degrees, 2x daily wc (if i can't do change @ lunch, i siphon excess food/fish waste remains) tap.. i feed 5x day.. 6x on Weekends when i have more time at house.. :mods:

Question :book:

should i sort out the fish and put smallest in one and bigger in other to help growth?

Does it matter?

what's the filtration and I wouldn't necessary just separate based on size only. I would separate based on how fast they eat as well. I believe you have different strains so one may be better eater than others.

i have hydro sponge (III and IV in other). i am buying another pump, then i will have 2 hydro's in each tank..

also i have hang on the back power filters with Biomedia/prefilter, no carbon..

umm.. some do eat faster then others.. i will pay closer attention to that when i go home for their noon feeding.. :computer2:

25 years ago Jack Wattley suggested separating fry/juvies by size. Not sure what today's experts say, but separating by size was definitely the old school way of doing it.
