I just wanted everyone to know that about 1.5 weeks ago, I had the pressue of meeting VLAM. I took 5 DISCUS see the first picture off his hands.
They were about 2.5 to 3 inches big. BEAUTIFUL fish! He was nice enough to give me advice on how to care for them, packaged them up great. I was so impressed with his setup that I was almost jealous! I was in amazed!!!
When I got home, I followed his advice, turned the lights off in the tank, put them in, etc. The next morning, I turn the lights on they were not eating as I thought that they would. I emailed VLAM and he was nice enough to advice me on what to do. I did serach this forum as well. sure enough I followed his advice and BANG, they started eating.
It is about 1.5 weeks now, since having them, they look to me as if they grew some, eating like CRAZY!!!! Following, VLAMS advice, to remove the peco that I had in there, removed also some of the FAKE plants that I had in there. Ever since then, they have bee swimming all over the place.
I have been also changing the water nightly, about 25-50% of the water and sure enough VLAM was right again. I also took his recommendation for the flakes to feed them WOW!!!
So in return, I would like to say VLAM THANK YOU!!!! I am happy!
The last two pictures are from this morning, I had take the picture of them right after cutting on the light. They are swimming so much....
