Hi all
I have a pair that have had a lot of fry in the past year( male red dragon female blue turq). They are about 1.5 to 2 years of age. All the fry are not very attractive. I would like to pair the female up with another fish (which we believe is a male blue diamond). Is it possible to pair up a female with another male more suitable? If so, how do we go about this?

I have a 160 litre tank with a divider.

No problem !! I find leaving the female in her established tank is best and just replace the males. Sometimes there's an initial day or so of "squabble", but 99% of the time she'll accept the new suitor....be patient, it will happen :-)

Good luck !!

I think Dale's right- he certainly has the experience to make those claims. OTOH, what he describes isn't exactly what you have. Your female may not accept a new mate if she can see and smell her old mate on the other side of the divider... dunno... one way to find out.
