hey everyone,
this is my first thread on this site and i'm looking forward to plenty of advice from all of you.

i am planning my 2nd discus tank and i want it to be a strict biotope with just sand and mangrove roots (not yet decided on what wilds though). my first discus tank was planted community type tank with domesticated strains; its still running and pretty successful (i started it without much knowledge on discus care).

i just wanted peoples opinions on the level of difficulty in care comparing domestic and wilds. for my planted tank, i've gotten by pretty much on 35-40% water changes every 5 days and dosing trace minerals.

im planning to use RO water and sump filtration, but i dont really know which direction to go with it.

any advice is welcome. thanks :)

p.s. any pics of discus biotopes and sump designs will be really helpful
