Yeah this is very nice, are these pics showing a progresion of some sort? I can not wait to see the wilds when they are fully grown! Nice looking tank and interesting set up. What type of leaves did you use?

Sorry but the gray pots are not for me.

For me is better to keep the water clean (and the Sand & Bottom of the tank) than the looks...

But, that will change latter, you will not see any pots, since I will cover it with wood.

Thanks for posting!

Do anybody know what type of wild greens they are? I can't tell them apart form the Xingu's with my amateur eyes.

Hi. sorry for the late reply!
They are Nanay's Greens, but young and "low commercial Quality, meaning no too much red spots or green vertical bars). Also, they are F1, born in Aquarim, Here is un update:

New tank (200 gallons aprox)

I know for sure they came from Peru. (the wilds)

But now I have some doubts about if they are Symphysodon Aequifasciatus or Syphysondon Haraldi. What do you think?
They look more Haraldi, but the red dots give me doubts about it. The have more than a year now. I bought them as Greens.

A mi, me parecen iguales al que tengo yo del Nanay en el Peru. El mio tampoco es de alta calidad y tiene muy pocas motas. El acuario ha resultado muy bonito con las plantas y rocas. Has hecho un buen trabajo. Gracias por ensenarnos las fotos.

Si, la duda es si son verdes o no.

Today I just made a small reorder

Are those real tree branches that you took from a tree? because they look like it lol. If so they do have the potential to rot. Thank God you upgraded, that last tank looked horrible no offense lol. This tank looks a lot healthier and so do the plants and fish.

I used to get some rather plain looking greens which I believe resemble what most of your young Green Discus will look like when they are adults like these. Only Symphysodon aequifasiatus develop red dots if only a few in their anal fin. These fish are owned by Rupert Collins of the UK but are being cared for by a friend while he completes his doctorate studying the Danios from his new home in New Zealand.

that tank looks A-M-A-ZING! the only thing is...i wish you'd get rid of the pots...and arrange the driftwood/branches differently (but that just comes down to taste! lol) great job! :)
