are clay pots ok ?

i have a bare bottom tank and wont a plant something easy to grow.what should i use to dirt or what.sorry new to forums and talking throw a key bord

if you look at my photoalbum in my profile.. i have a 2 amazon swords in the orginal container, 2 anibus plants tied to little pieces of diftwood (fishing line) & 2 java balls & ferns just i the tank..

i wanted some plants also.. but i didn't want substrate..

OR..

some put gravel in small terra cotta pots and place the plants in the pot..
