Hi,

I'm fairly new to the forum and I just got myself a pair of Santarem Discus. A few days ago when I put them in their new home the male seemed to have been breathing fairly hard and I could see his red gills, and then two days ago I think one of his gills started functioning normal again, but his other gill seemed to be breathing fairly hard and I can still see his red gill. I've read about gill flukes on the forums but I'm not quite sure that is the case. Anyone have any similar symptoms?

The gills are supposed to be red. Are the filaments hanging out of the gill cover?

Definitely fill out the questioonaire and we'll go from there.
