hi all at what age from juvs discus do you treat them for gill fluke and worms and how long do you treat them for can you keep treating the parents thanks for your help.

I would not treat them if they do not have flukes.

thanks eddie 2 days ago i treated my baby juv the only one i have for fluke i dont think he had it but i gave it to him thinking i was doing the right thing now he is dead is that what killed him

what did you treat him with and how old is the juvie?

i used aquamaster fluke and tapeworm tablets ,,, praziquantel 100mg,,,, he is about 3 months old but i have done it before he was ok

he was old enough, but I'm not familiar with that product. Fluke meds can stress the fish and cause 2ndary bacterial infections. Did he have clamped fins or turn dark?

thanks for your help no he was fine i have many other discus but he is in a tank on his own because he is so little his mum is a pigeon blood she passed about 3 weeks ago i had 2 fry out of about 15 he was not dark

I wouldn't say for sure but treating juvies can be stressful. Also, its always important to actually treat for a problem that exists. Sorry to hear you lost the fish.
