Praziquantel, I'm seeing threads come out of gill area?

I dosed my hospital tank with a fish showing wasting away syndrome and sluggish eating with dark color.

It's the 4th day and for the last 2 days I have seen thread like stuff ( some straight and others squiggly ) hanging out of gills and eventually falling off. His color has improved along with his eating.
What exactly am I seeing?
What is coming out of him is my question.

I plan on doing a bottom syphon and after 7 days a 100% WC and re dose.
Is that the correct procedure and how long before I return him to the original tank which I also dosed.
all other fish in original tank look fine.

It may be excess slime coat. bacterial gill disease?? could be anything. Post a pic and ask Eddie what he thinks
