These are a few pictures of my fishroom that I set up last year. There is a total of 17 tanks. The tanks are as follows: 1x125, 3x90's, 1x75, 3x55's, 3x20's, and 6x29's. I have a 300gal. storage barrel, for my aged tap water.I also have a RO unit with 2x45gal barrels. All water is pumped to the tanks from a common header system around the ceiling.

I hope you like the pictures.

Great set up you have. Clean and organized. 17 tanks is a lot. I originally planned for 20 in my fishroom but opted for 13 and is still all I can handle.

Do you use the sink often? I always hear others claiming a sink is absolute must. I have a drain and area for sink already plumbed but really havent needed it yet.

Thanks for sharing your fishroom.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. It's taken me alittle while to get the pictures downsized to fit on here. I'm not that great with a computer. The fishroom has changed alittle bit since those pictures. I have turned a couple of the 29's around and put in some f1 Pelvicachromis's and some latacara curviceps in them. I haven't had any luck with the discus breeding. I want my 4 year old to get involved, and whats a better way of doing that than having some babies to watch grow up. Thats why I bought the other fish.

Martha, and Scott.

I didn't plumb the sink in myself, I helped my friend do it. This fishroom is in the garage, so I had to tap into the hot and cold lines that are going to my kitchen sink. I was able to tie the drain into the main drain of the house that's in the crawl space under the kitchen. I use my sink everyday when I am syphoning out the large tanks and also draining out the smaller ones. I only have the larger tanks drilled half way up the tank. I wanted to control the draining myself on the breeding tanks (in case I get fry):D:D:D. The room also has its own heating zone, kept at 80 degrees.

Thank you again,
Patrick

Beautiful setup Patrick. Organized, clean and well thought out. I have the same issues with the few breeders I have. Plenty of eggs but only wigglers a couple of times. Talk to you at Als next wk

Brian,

It will be great seeing you again. I have a 5gal. tank setup in the family room with some baby latacara's. I hope to have some discus fry in the near future. I changed my water perameters, and now there's a couple of pairs staring and pecking at the cones. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Having been to Patricks a few times I can honestly say ....Patrick's Fishroom is Everything Mine isn't LOL>.. Its Neat, organized, well thought out, and has room to expand his stock... totally the opposite of "ordered Chaos":) that mine is!
He definitely did it right!

Thanks Buddy,

I would trade my fishroom for your ordered chaos any day. Remember that your fishroom comes with an unbelievable discus stock, that most would kill for...

See you on Saturday. How are my lttle babies doing? I have their tank waiting for them.

Your a LITTLE jealous! LOL if you only knew what I had to do to get my wife to agree to 3 new tanks.:argue: Thats a great setup.

I think I pushed my wife way past her limit:D:D:D. If she had it her way, I would only have one tank. She only alowed me to have a 20 gal in the den, and I just snuck the rest of them in. If I told her that I was going to shut down the room tomorrow, I don't think she would try to talk me out of it. She knows that I really want this hobby to be something that I can do with my two little girls.

Thanks again for the kind comments.

Very nice setup wish I had nice setup like that, I was wondering do you have your 55gallon's drilled out, I want to drill my tanks out but most are 55g and was told that all the glass on a 55 was tempered glass and can't drill them out. Thank Larry

It was great meeting you to, Hope to see you again at the next meeting.

Larry,

All my 55 gallon tanks are drilled. Alot of my tanks have tempered glass, but thats only on the bottom. I had no problems drilling them out.

Looks great... wish I had the space for it. I could hire a crew to finish digging out the cellar, by hand, but I shudder at the cost...

One way to fill the tanks is to breed your own... it'll take a while, but the price is right...

I figured it was in your garage. It would be hard to get a 300 gallon storage tank into your basement.
Nice setup!
