This pair has been with me for a while. Always bowing to each other in the community tank then going on their merry way. A few months ago I gave them their own tank and they started laying egg on a weekly basis. Two days in and they would eat them. So this last time I screened the eggs to even see if they were viable. Enjoy the pictures (I hope this works)

Great looking pair. I have a couple pair that always eat eggs but are good parents if they make it to wriggler stage. Thanks for sharing the pics:)

Thanks Scott. Just screen the eggs and see what happens. The first time I took the screen off too early and they ate the wigglers before they went freeswiming. This time I waited until they all detached. They have been model parents.
Thanks
Rich

Thanks everyone. They really brought a lot of excitement into the house. The first thing the kids do is check the babies when they get home. It's a ton of fun.
Thanks

Really nice snakeskins and great pictures. I can understand why the kids (and adults) are so excited to watch the babies grow. How long did it take you to figure out how to get such sharp pictures with good lighting?

Thanks Bill

The pictures were taken with a Nikon D60 with my regular overhead tank light and no flash. The flash seems to wash out too much color. Took a lot of pictures some that were not so good and some that came out real nice.

Thanks again
Rich

Didn't know they had different names on that side of the pond. Got them from Forest/Kenny almost four years ago. Maybe they would know.

So far they have been great parents. Just lucky I guess. But lately they seem to be getting a little fidgety when one gets covered with all the fry. Time to start making plans on who's going where.

Thanks for all the support everyone.
