Do those magnet wipe down things work that well? I have always just sucked the water half out and stick my arm in with paper towels and go to wiping. But this would me much easier and I wouldn't have to take out so much water.

does the papertowel not come apart in the water?

It's probably Bounty.. they don't break apart.

I prefer to do it with my hands in the tank. My hands are in the tank doing vac already so I use an 1/2" thick cut sheet of 3"x5" poret foam to wipe my tank. I almost never wipe the glass on my planted tank. the snails, ottos and shrimps takes care of it for me.

Don't ever clean acrylic tank using the magnet. I have a special magnet for my acrylic tank and even that leaves fine scratches.

Sean, I just tried it this morning. Move the magnet slow and it seems to work pretty good.

I do not get the cheapest papertowel and these hold together nicely. I get the bounty white (no dyes) . I use these in my reef tank also.

I took a sponge and put a hole in the middleof it. I then put a doll rod down the middle, It works great.

Now, how will I know I've really done a wipe down if my sleeves aren't wet?

Clever idea Pat!
