I am a Big fan of PP. You just need to do it right.
Maracyn 1 and maracyn 2 do wonder for my discus.... although they are quite expensive.... treating a broad range of gram-negative and positive.

Praziquantel powder,Metronidazole powder,Live Bearer,Acriflavine and one or two antibiotics like Furan 2 or Maracyn Two in your fish medicine cabinet.
