just wondering how old some members fish are. I have heard 11-12 years old is an average life expectancy??? Anyone have older discus???? Just curious how many years of tank cleaning i have...lol

Not many people will have discus 11 or 12 years old. 10 years is doing extremely well ime/o.

I don't even know where I heard 11 or 12 years...and you are right, I am probably out to lunch with that....that is kind of why I 'm wondering how old everyone's discus are?????

I agree with Paul that most don't, adding most lkely can't keep one alive 12 years. I don't think 11-12 years is an unrealistic age for a dicus to live. Wattley spoke of a 14 year old in his TFH column

One of my mates had one get to 7-8 years.
