Painting the house

The landlord is painting the house soon. I cannot move the discus so what should I do for them to make sure they are safe?

depends on what he is using and how. Modern latex is actaually very safe, all you have to worry about is over spray/splater. If they are using oil base( which is illegal in CA for anything other then metal btw)

If they are paint the out side, don't worry about anything. the inside is where you have to worry.

even then its just throw a sheet over the tank and open a window.

You could even cover the tank with plastic and put an air pump outside in the fresh air and run some tube from the pump to the tank .
