Thanks. The SS is big...but not a "jumbo". Looks bigger in the pics! Tho they are the biggest ones I own at the moment. This has to do with the genetics of this strain. I'm hoping the fry will grow as big as well...Bill

Thanks everyone. I have peat/Indian Almond Leaves in the(breeding) water, tho mostly the IAL's, as I find them easier and cleaner to work with. The bigger fry really pig out on those FDBW's of Al/Mal...and grow fast on them!...Bill

Great job with those pairs. That female Snakeskin is out of this world. She has a beautiful shape to her. I would love to have her in my collection. Snakeskins are definitly my favorite strain.

Thanks Migetguy and Patrick. The SS's too are one of my favorite strains as well. I have 3 females that all look pretty much alike. 2 males...tho typical, the biggest male is not a breeder!...The fry in the pics now are from a crossing with my Asian Altum females with Stendker(Hans) Males. I am excited to see what these offspring will look like. Also I have a AltumSS(male) X Flachen(female) which I am anxious to see as well, as the Flachen female is a sold green...Bill

I will Hendri. If I can get that "Altum" shape, on a solid green(Flachen) Discus that would be sweet. ALSO if I can get the blue fine-lines of the SS to be green like the Flachen...that works too! Part of the fun of breeding...Bill

Thanks guys. Jennie here are a couple of shots of the fry. Nothing real special yet. Still in the 20H...I just removed the parents(last pic)to another 20H. They are a bit lethargic from gorging on my BH mix! This week the fry will be moved to a 55...along with some other batches of fry that are outgrowing their current tank. The parents just had a small spawn and ate the wrigglers. Next time I will cover the eggs...Bill
