Just got my pump from kensfish.com , a sponsor here. To connect any pump to faucet you need some adapters, sorry, dont remember which once. You can unscrew the filter net from faucet and try different once.

why would you need a pump that connects to a faucet? The faucet provides the water pressure? Litte more details of what you are planning and we can give you some feedback

Are you just talking about the adapters that connect your faucet to a hose so you can drain and fill you tank from the sink? They are like $15 at pestsmart

Do yourself and your fish a big favor- invest in the means to make water changes as painless as possible. There are lots of different ways to do that, depending on circumstances, but it really, really pays off in the long run, and is worth every penny put into it. Honest. Discus thrive in clean water.

Consider water changing when deciding on tank placement, too.

Any fish store has them. I'm still trying to figure out why you'd want to connect a pump to the faucet in the first place. A pump can be useful for draining (I just use gravity out to my garden) but if you don't age your water why would you need a pump for refilling?

Sorry for the inconvenience, apparently I started writing it in spanish (quiropráctico) without noticing and continued in english. Simply does have many international members so stuff like this will happen.

Don't do that... I paid $4 for a faucet adapter at home depot, $7 for a hose (winter clearance) at Lowes, and I can use it to put water in and take it out. I suppose it depends where your tank is relative to your plumbing...

I'm kind of cheap too and didn't want to pay $60+ for a pump but when you think about how much money you're spending on discus already...

I started with just buckets. Not so bad when you have one small tank but when you have five tanks at diffenent locations in your house and your smallest is a 55 gallon it gets old quick. I had to be carefull when I used buckets putting water back in my tanks because the force of the water blew the fish all over the tank. My water is a little expensive so I do not use a python. I know have a 55gallon rubber maid trash can with heaters to maintain water temp and a pond pump to keep the water circulated. I got an adapter to hook my faucet to the garden hose to fill the trash can. I hook a hose to my pump to add water to the aquariums. I syphone water out of my tanks using a garden hose to a certain level in the tank. Wipe the tank and using a syphone tupe I vacum the water into a bucket. One bucket per tank. Simple cheap nothing fancy but it works for me.
