I like feeding a Shrimp/Beef heart mix as my base food. Then I use some of the foods you have listed. If feeding Black worms I would recommend the Freeze dried worms that Al sells. Live black worms are great but they require daily maintenance and if you don't keep up with the changing of water on the worms they can go bad and lead to problems.

Make your own beefheart.. Follow the recipes provided by Al, Eddie, Hans and a few others..skip the bld worms. flake is important to feed, especially if you need to give it medicated, so yes to that..and Al has discus crack available(brewmasters FDBW)

Click Here (http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showthread.php?62523-Elite-s-Blend&highlight=elite%27s+blend) for the link to what I feed. Although I change the mix from time to to time.

Send him a PM he does sell it in lots of 10lb min. That is the frozen food not the Freeze dried food.

inland empire has the BH flake, but if you feed the frozen you can probably stick with ocean nutrition flake

I stay away from bloodworms and some people feed blackworms but I am of the crowd that does not. Its a personal preference. I do however, feed Freeze Dried Black Worms from Mal (Al distributes them in the US).

I use a seafood mix more than BH now my fish are big, BH is kinda messy but good for young fish. Making your own BH & SF mixes is quite rewarding but I llike my fish to eat everything, flake & pellets are convinient; bloodworms, brine shrimp & mysis are nice treats a few times a week, live worms (black, white or red wigglers) more bother but vey good. I NEVER feed tubifex in any form. FDBWs are very good but a bit expensive for a main food. There is no such thing as too much variety!
