I have a question about dosing with Vermisol.

I have a 55 gal bb

It says 93.75 mg per 10gals =0.09375

So I need to convert to grams

0.09375 * 5.5 = 0.51 grams

my question is that it doesn't seem like much. I mean a half a gram is like nothing? Am I doing the calculation right?

Thanks:)

My direction say for 24 hours and re-dose in 3 weeks.

Is what Mugzy said. Wipe down the tanks and give a large WC, treat for 24hrs...then wipe down and give a large WC and re-treat in 3 weeks. Fish usually get a bit lethargic, and your water may turn cloudy. I treat with whatever temp. my tank(s) ar running at. Not sure how important that is for this drug...Bill

The recommended dosage is 2ppm (mg/liter) levamisole for 24 hours. If you had pure Levamisole Hydrochloride then you would need approx. 76mg per 10 gallons of water. Since your Vermisol only has 7.5g of the active ingredient Levamisole Hydrochloride. The dosage should be closer to 1-1.25g per 10 gallons of water.

I also used 1/2 teaspoon per 20G. No need to modify temp.

Hi Kacey......1/2 teaspoon around 2 grams.

Dosage Calculation
Some helpful conversions:

For 100% Levamisole HCl in powdered form (Levasole, Soluble Pig wormer):

1 teaspoon = 4 grams
.5 teaspoon = 2 grams
.25 teaspoon = 1 gram
1.0 US Gallon = 3.78 Liters

Thanks Francis. To be honest, I wouldn't trust these figures because the are the weights for 100% Lavamisol powder. The stuff we're dealing with is only 7.5% lavamisol and the rest is inert carrier which may be heavier or lighter by volume than the lavamisol itself.
