seachem black sand,blue diamond

hey all im starting a new 4f after thinking hard about how i want it to look i would like black sand. i would like 2 know what other people are paying for theres so far the cheapest i have found over here is about $100 a bag of 10kg wich is gona mack it very expensive. the tank will be a blue diamond tank i have the female and my male is due to arrive anytime im so exited i had wanted a bd tank for a while now i think a combination of the black sand blue fish and green fake plants will go well. also i am thinking of adding golden severum witch i will slowly acclimatizes and so on. my plan is to buy them small and have the discus bigger before adding them they will have about 2months of slowly acclimating them to the discus water. whats your opinion??

sky blue i was thinking ?? so they do not turn dark on me

I don't think you'll end up liking the black gravel/sand. Unless you plan to have albino Discus, all others are just going to get dark and stay that way. Been there, done that...Bill

well i was hoping the background would even it out. if i got a 3d background like the tree root would that turn the blue darker?

I'd use white sand
