Hi, I'm going to be back to the hobby again, and now there is a choice I have to make. I have a 45 gallon and a 55 gallon tank. I need to choose one as the water aging tank and the other one for discus. They have the same length and differ in width and height. But visually they look pretty much the same in front. I'm now struggling between having more space for the discus and having larger water storage volume to be safe. How would you guys choose? Thanks!

I'd keep them in the 55 and use the 45 for aging.

Reasoning - A goldfish can only get as big as its bowl. I once saw a goldfish in a lake, looked like orange grouper!

+1, 55 could put more fish ;)

I'd get a plastic container to store water and use both tanks for fish!

Uhh..haven't fully decided yet. Will have some golden-based white butterfly for sure. Also would like to have some classic looking turqs and snakeskins, high body if possible. The rest of the order just depends on what forrest and Kenny will offer in the next shipment or the one after the next.

Jennie I've been thinking of that all the time, but really don't think I can do 50% daily water change on a 100 gallon...already terrible enough for me to do it on my 55 gal:(...probably I will steal a PLC from my lab some day and make everything automatic lol.
