RO and Prime Question

Hi all,

I am new to this group and am v-e-r-y impressed with what I am seeing/reading!!!

I have a new tank to set up. I have just hooked up a RO system, so my question is: Do I need to use Prime in this new setup, if I am using RO water???

If you are using RO water you will need to add some minerals back in. I use commercially available re-mineral salts for this. In this case there is no need for prime.

Some use tap water, so some prime will be needed, enough to deal with the small amount of tap water.

Some use tap water that has been filtered over carbon, no need for prime in this case.
