does anyone know if the fry of an internediate x standard pair will be intermediate? I think my other pair of bk's has turned out to be two females. the one thought male has been bowing at my intermediate alanquer male

Hi Ross,

By intermediate i assume you mean the discus is carrying a recessive mutant gene? If so then yes, you will get some intermediates among the fry, about 50%.

Rod I meant albino intermediate. but I think your awnser will still be the same. there will not be any way to tell which fry carry intermediate genes?

Yes, answer the same :)

No way to tell except by breeding experiments, that in a nutshell is why they are called recessive, the gene recedes.
